THE YEARS OF FIERRO
The Fierro Years tells the story of César Fierro, the oldest Mexican on death row in the United States. César has been waiting for more than thirty years for the date of his execution, always insisting that he is innocent. This documentary is a reflection on justice, imprisonment and brotherly love, narrated through the eyes of César and his brother Sergio. These two brothers hope to meet again someday, despite time and distance.

Santiago Esteinou is a documentary filmmaker and producer from Mexico City. He studied cinematography at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica and Temple University. He later completed a master's degree in Human Rights at the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales.
