THE YEARS OF FIERRO
Los Años de Fierro tells the story of César Fierro, the Mexican who spent the longest time on death row in the United States. For more than thirty years, César awaited execution while maintaining his innocence. Through his voice and that of his brother Sergio, the documentary offers an intimate look at justice, imprisonment, and the fraternal bond that withstands time and distance. Due to the confidentiality of the case, legal restrictions, and to protect the safety of its protagonist, the film could not be released in 2014. Today, more than ten years later, it finally arrives in theaters, following the release of La Libertad de Fierro, the documentary that portrays César's life after regaining his freedom.
